Statuses are generally found in every CRM- sometimes called “Stages” in other CRMs. These are generally designed to tell you where a particular contact is in the process of buying or selling. Generally, these are not custom the way tags are, but should translate from one CRM to another easily. Basically, you may want to translate the statuses or stages of your database into Brivity language.
Before getting started, we suggest adding a column to the right of the column you’re about to edit for posterity, and to make this into a column of tags. It’s a good fall back in case you want to find a list of people by the definition or word you or your agents are accustomed to using.
Look at your status or stages in your file to see how they compare with the definitions below. We charted some common CRMs to show you how you can translate many of their fields to Brivity fields.
Here are some brand name systems and how the status/stages compare:
One by one, take one word in your list and replace it with its Brivity translation. Name the column “Status” before importing. When you’re ready, select the entire column of status or stages (by just clicking the letter representing the top of the column which will highlight the entire column), then click Edit in your navigation bar. Drop to “Find and Replace”.
Before importing, check support.brivity.com, go to the CRM area, and find the Importing Contacts to Brivity section to dive deeper into imports. Common CRM system files have documented challenges you can review.
